Spring Cleaning with Miele

Nothing excites me quite as much as brand new cleaning products. Sad, I know, but that’s the truth!
And the sound and feel of a new vacuum… well, where do I start? I entertain at home a lot, so a good vacuum is an absolute must. The new Miele Blizzard CX1 Bagless Vacuum ticks so many boxes for me I don’t think I have cleaned with a bigger smile on my face.
There are some things in life that one needs to spend just that little bit more on to get exceptional quality. Your household vacuum is one of those items. Even though most floors in homes these days are floorboards, I still love the warmth of carpeted spaces, and even my floorboards rooms have multiple rugs in them.
You need a powerful motor that can pick up dust and dirt between the fibres of your carpets and a good quality vacuum, like the Miele Blizzard CX1 bagless will do that for you. With a variety of speeds and suction attachments, it will clean your floor like no other vacuum has.
From the get-go, I knew I would be in love. Not only is it a good looking product, it is so easy and comfortable to use. Pulling a vacuum around behind you while you clean the house is often an ankle banging experience but not with this beauty. It’s got a convenient 10m retractable cord that gets you from room to room; its handle is the perfect height, featuring a smart little sliding nozzle that slides easily back into the handle once you have done your edges, table tops or skirting boards. Having it this way means you will never lose it!
It’s simple design is deceptive because this is one strong, hard working vacuum that generates airspeeds exceeding 100km/h making cleaning faster and easier – this is due to the Blizzard’s impressive Vortex technology.
Keeping one's home clean is a simple matter of hygiene. Dust, dirt, grime, and spillages are a part of everyday life and having a product that you enjoy using makes cleaning feel less like a chore. Using a bagless vacuum is always a little bit of fun, not only can you see all the lego pieces you suck up but you know when it needs to be emptied. In the long run, it is a lot cheaper as you save money on buying dustbags, and you will never get caught in the dilemma of being about to vacuum only to discover you have no empty dustbags.
The Miele Blizzard CX1 separates coarse dirt from fine dust particles, so when emptying the vacuum, you won’t get the sneezes from plumes of dust that is common with other bagless vacuum cleaners. An allergy-friendly vacuum with a HEPA AirClean Lifetime filter? I like that!
I am impressed with the range of accessories that the Miele Blizzard CX1 comes with. Upholstery, crevice nozzle, and dusting brush attachments are perfect for all your nooks and crannies that an everyday vacuum just can’t get to. I have a gorgeous woodgrain tabletop that has grooves that collect dirt and dust, neither wiping nor dusting can clean this table effectively. Hello, Blizzard CX1 vacuum!
Using the dusting brush attachment has taken care of the job and attaching it is as simple as sliding a nozzle forward. I have a lot of flowers in my home, and as they age they drop their petals, it’s times like these that a selection of attachments comes in handy. If you want to get into those nooks and crannies - you know what you need!
I seriously can’t be the only one here who loves the sound of dirt being sucked into a vacuum, and doing this with the Miele Blizzard CX1 has made my day! The Miele Blizzard CX1 is available in various models, including:
- For all animal lovers: Cat & Dog model (red in colour, pictured above). Featuring a TurboBrush to easily remove hair and lint from carpets and rugs
- Superb on timber floors, the Multi Floor model (blue in colour) features a parquet brush, ideal for gentle cleaning of sensitive hard floor surfaces. This model also comes with a standard floorhead perfect for carpets
