Step Inside, You're Invited....

An amazing entrance has to be followed by a fabulous dining space.

With a climbing wall of balloons, I knew I wanted my dining room to be so full of colour, more balloons and flowers that I may have gone a little crazy! But that is what parties are for right? With my colour palette of pale pink, tangerine and raspberry I chose about eight varieties of flowers to match. I love to keep flowers in their bunches rather than mixing them all up, keeping them in their bouquets but displaying a combination of textures and heights; the more eclectic, the better. It is all about the blending of these colours rather than the flower itself. I wanted the flowers to match the balloons and that they did.

I found the beautiful copper urn which I would use as the centerpiece for the table and laden it with an assortment of florals. Scattering sweet decorative items such as feathered geese, crackers,  flamingo salt and pepper shakers from West Elm and of course light up initials from Typo for the birthday girl - just to make her feel that little bit more special. Using a Kip & Co table cloth that matched in perfectly to the flowers, I hired plain pink chairs from Dann Event Hire to change the room up a bit and lighten the room. The room was a visual and sensory overload. As my guests looked up, they were surrounded by balloons and tassels, honeycomb paper lanterns and glittering balloons from Poppies for Grace. It was perfect.

Sitting in a room this special calls for special cocktails, and we had a few on hand…The traditional Italian Bellini was given a modern tweak and certainly hit the spot as our pre-lunch tipple!
