More is more is more! This is a party where it's all about fun, colour, and a lot of it!
What is not going on on this table! Isn’t it just so much fun? My gorgeous Chessie is celebrating her birthday and seeing as she is phone and social media obsessed I thought why not throw her a fun emoji birthday party! As you will soon see, it is one of those themes that once you get started it’s hard to reign it in. Embroidered transfers are super cool at the moment; patched on jeans, jackets, shoes, homewares…Everywhere! For this reason transfers of quirky emojis are the perfect starting point for this party.
I appliquéd patches to serviettes, tablecloths, gifts and of course decorated with them. I wanted to create something that is not all about floral and to work with a theme that is based on current trends, and what is very much in fashion at the moment is the embroidered patch.
My favourite thing to decorate is always the tabletop. Starting off with a layer of simple denim as the table cloth, in which I purchased a few metres of denim from Spotlight, and then attaching the patches in random places. I styled the table using some cute cushions from Typo as the centrepiece focusing on everything being fun and quirky, with some bright flowers to bring everything back together. To decorate I made some denim bunting to fill the ceiling space, which is a simple yet effective way to decorate a room from top to bottom.
Typo was a godsend when it came to styling the table - from cushions to signage, patches to crazy purses - I went to town! It was so much fun just getting as crazy and colourful as possible which also meant I could go subtle on the cutlery and glassware, opting for simple black cutlery, black chairs hired from DANN Event Hire and basic navy Kmart tumblers, so the table centrepiece pops!
So, what do you think? #tellme #tellmenow #doyouloveit?
