An Easter Table Among the Wildflowers

This Easter, inspiration was drawn from the inside of your home aswell as the outside of your home. Sometimes the weather is just too lovely to stay inside for - so of course, I had to share an outdoor easter tablescape inspired by the surrounding rolling countryside. This simple table celebrates nature's quiet beauty and the joy of gathering among soft fields of daisies, hollyhocks, and Queen Anne's lace.

Dressed in a subtle blue and white tablecloth, reminiscent of vintage French linens, the table exudes a refined yet relaxed charm. Every piece, carefully selected from my Chyka Home Harris Scarfe collection, harmoniously blends country charm with polished elegance. The result is a table that feels fresh, inviting, and intentionally simple… as soft and delicate as a daisy petal, inspiring you to create your own elegant Easter tablescape.

Let's rethink the centrepiece this Easter. Instead of traditional bouquets, long woven baskets spill over with garden flowers in soft blue, leafy greens, delicate daisies, dahlias, queen annes lace, and generous white hydrangeas. They're not overly arranged—just loosely gathered to reflect how flowers naturally grow. This adds a sense of ease and authenticity to the table, connecting you and your guests to the beauty of imperfection in nature.

Recreate this at home:

Use low wicker or rattan trays lined with mason jars or bud vases, and fill them with flowers clipped from the garden or weekend market. Look for blooms with wild, unstructured shapes — think cosmos, sweet peas, or flowering herbs like mint and lavender.

Each guest's place is marked by a petite Easter basket — a charming touch that doubles as both a setting and a gift. Inside: a pair of playful bunny ears (perfect for a little festive fun), a soft bunny toy to take home, and a few sweet treats tucked in between. These thoughtful touches will make your guests feel special and add a personal note to your Easter celebration.

Recreate the magic:

  • Use small handled baskets lined with linen napkins in soft neutrals or gingham.

  • Add personalised name tags using hand-lettered cardstock or wooden cutouts tied with twine.

  • Include something whimsical — bunny ears, painted eggs, or monogrammed chocolate.

This entire tablescape champions the art of restraint. It's pared-back, elegant, and free from excess—a reminder that beauty often lies in simplicity. A single palette, a few key elements, and thoughtful details make guests feel considered and cared for. Let Easter be a celebration of newness and light — of fresh flowers, fresh air, and the chance to reconnect. Whether you're hosting amongst the wildflowers or bringing a bit of the country indoors, let your table reflect the joy and generosity of the season.
