A Special Sunday Lunch Just For Dad

This Sunday is all about Dad, so let’s make it an extra special one this year…
It’s so easy to create a table that is full of what your dad loves. What’s in your dads closet? It may be caps, ties, crazy socks, anything a little quirky that can make your table stand out. It’s all a bit of silliness, but I am positive that Dad will appreciate it. The smell of the polished leathers always brings back fond memories of my Dad’s shoe collection, so drawing inspiration from that I created a fun lunchtime table for Father’s Day. I love the masculine palette, using a variation of colour and texture, I was able to have a lot of fun when it came to arranging my little collection of shoes, accessories and matching props.
Shoe horns as name tags, shoelaces to tie up the serviettes; get a little creative with dad’s collections. Keep it light and casual, serve a fantastic meal and celebrate Dad, he deserves it! Just make sure that all the shoes you use as the centerpiece are looking their best, a simple few steps will get them shining up a treat.
A simple how-to on how to keep leather shoes clean…
Wipe off any excess dirt
Clean with mild soap and a damp cloth or sponge
Winter salt stains can be removed with a 2:1 mixture of water and white vinegar. Apply this solution using a sponge, wiping until the stains disappear.
And what can we feed Dad that we know he will enjoy? Delicious ribs of course… Trust me, the smell of these ribs is amazing you will not be disappointed!
