There is something truly magical about dining outdoors. Fresh air, gorgeous greenery, and a beautifully set table are perfect for an unforgettable gathering! And the best part? It doesn't have to cost a fortune. With clever styling tricks and creativity, you can create a stunning tablescape that feels effortlessly chic. For this setting, I've taken a versatile outdoor extension table from Jati (I love its extendable centrepiece!) and embraced a neutral, natural theme that feels fresh, elegant, and inviting. Style, functionality and comfort come together in the Camden extension table. Roomy enough to comfortably sit 6-10 people, this extendable teak table is a timeless outdoor favourite, ideal for larger gatherings. Crafted from premium grade-A teak, it'll gracefully withstand the test of time and the elements with very little maintenance.

One of my favourite pieces in this setting is the Camden extension table by Jati. Instead of keeping it pristine, I've allowed it to age gracefully in the weather, giving the wood a beautifully weathered patina that blends effortlessly into the garden setting. There's something so charming about weathered timber that has softened over time, developing a natural, silvery-grey hue that adds character and warmth. It makes the table feel like it has always belonged in this lush, green space—timeless, relaxed, and imperfect. Now, let's talk styling…

Rather than going overboard with traditional florals, I've opted for something more practical and charming—basil pots from Bunnings! Popped into wicker baskets, they look gorgeous and bring a beautiful fragrance to the table. And here's the best part: these little basil pots double as guest favours! Add a sweet name tag (cut straight from the garden), and let your guests take home a little piece of the party. Sustainable and stylish—what's not to love?

Keeping things neutral and classic, I've layered wicker placemats from IKEA (cheap and cheerful!) with two everyday plates from Harris Scarfe. They work perfectly together, creating a layered, textural look that feels considered but never overdone. The napkins? They're divine—beautiful pieces from Canvas and Sasson that add just the right amount of relaxed elegance. And because I love consistency, I've brought in my bamboo-look plastic cutlery—practical, stylish, and perfect for an outdoor setting.

Now, let's talk food! Since we're leaning into the fresh basil theme, what better way to style the table than with big, beautiful tomatoes, fresh crusty bread, and delicious pots of goat's cheese or buffalo mozzarella? It's the perfect share-style starter—simple, seasonal, and bursting with flavour. And to top it all off, I've used the cutest little watering cans as water jugs. It's a slight touch, but those little details make all the difference!

So, whether you're hosting a long lunch, a Sunday brunch, or a last-minute get-together, this tablescape proves that you don't need to spend a fortune to create something unique. It's all about layering textures, embracing natural elements, and adding a touch of creativity. Happy entertaining!
