There are always reasons to celebrate, so much so that’s what my next book focuses on!
You know I love a party, I just can’t help but turn everything into an event - so much so we made it our livelihood. For the past 30 years Bruce and I have built our business around celebrating. From weddings to bar mitzvahs, simple stand up chicken sandwich eating functions to week long parties in exotic countries for princesses. Each and every one of them specially planned, organised and styled.
A re-arranger at the best of times, walking through a function space tweaking the florals here and styling (and restyling) the centrepieces there, is one of my favourite things to do. I love nothing more than being involved in creating a theme, sourcing props and scouring our Design Depot for the perfect pieces, from the set up to the take down, every bit as important as each other. Why? Because I love seeing people smile. And creating the event of their dreams is a dream for us.
The look on faces when the big night comes around is nothing sure of spectacular when you know you have made the event as amazing as can be. I love seeing people surrounded by their loved ones having a fantastic time and being able to be a part of that celebration is a privilege. It made absolute sense to create a book that reflects this creativity, the love and thought that goes into making every occasion memorable.
