It's beginning to look a lot like....

…Christmas is around the corner!
And you know what that means? Time to get the tree up, the wreaths, and your festive shopping lists sorted! And, of course, I am here to help you with everything. Let’s start with the star of the show, the Christmas tree! The Christmas tree is easily the focal point of Christmas, so making it a vision of beauty is a must. When adorning the tree with decorations, I believe more is definitely more. This year I am keeping it simple with my theme of ‘Green’. Yep, just plain and straightforward ol’ green! My favourite colour of the season is shining brightly through the festive season, and I am excited to be showing it off to you all!
From baubles to wreaths to balloons to gift wrapping, I am obsessed with mixing and matching all shades of green in all different textures. My Christmas collection with Harris Scarfe is in store now, so pulling together a fabulous-looking tree is simple and affordable, and if you follow my steps, you too can have a tree just like mine! As well as having a tree, I like to have a selection of fun festive accessories to decorate the house with; the festive spirit needs to flow through the house - not just in one room where the tree is! So let’s have some fun with colour. This year I have selected a few balloon garlands by the fantastic girls from Poppies For Grace. You can buy Balloon garlands and Balloon sets to create any shape you want; I love how grand the balloons make the tree feel - it is a simple tree with various shades of green baubles, but with the inclusion of streamers and garlands - the tree is the star of the show!
TOP TIPS For Decorating Your Christmas Tree!
Decorating with a garland? Get creative with your placement; try using it as a table runner or festive decoration for your coffee table. Hang from picture frames or style up your balustrade.
If you are using a faux tree, spruce the leaves up! Spend time fluffing out the branches so the tree looks as complete as possible.
Is your tree looking a little squat? Give it height by placing it on a chair or table for maximum size. Style the surrounding space with gifts, garlands, decorations and anything else you can find to fill the space.
Plug your pea lights into the wall as you hang them - this way, you can see the balance as you are hanging and how many you have. Go up and down with your lights - not around the tree, this gives you better coverage, and it doesn’t look so neat! Always go for ‘warm’ pea lights; they create a softer feel.
Adding a garland to your table, mantle or shelf? Weave your ribbon and baubles through to bulk out the garland making it 100% more festive!
Don’t forget, when decorating your tree, you need to push those baubles right into the centre of the tree and not just the outside to give the illusion of depth and fullness.
Stay consistent with your decor - if you commit to one theme, STICK TO IT! Match your wrapping back to this shade, ribbons, cards - everything!
Sometimes decorations don’t have enough string to hang on the tree; I like to grab some black twine or even a type of black wire to attach back to the tree - the string won’t stand out, and your decoration is secured!
And, of course, with every celebration, there should be music! Christmas is no different. Combining hymns, singalong carols, and festive classics fill this collection. If you are already using Spotify, all you need to do is search Chyka.com or Chyka Celebrate, and you will find the collection of playlists. Subscribe or download each list; your next event already has a playlist!

How will you style your tree this festive season? The Forest Garden Collection is a sophisticated story of deep emerald greens & white with metallic gold highlights, putting a modern twist on a traditional festive theme. This is a simple modern look that everybody can embrace with quality glass baubles and detailed Santa & Snowmen figurines coming together to create a refined elegance. Combine these new decorations with your existing collection. They are simple and classic enough to add bulk to your tree whilst staying on theme. I styled them in a colour block style, starting with hanging a ‘stripe’ of the lighter green baubles and dark green baubles, then finishing the layering with the white, infilling the gaps with the gorgeous snowman and glass Santa.
