A Creative Twist For Easter

Easter is just around the corner. Is your home ready?

The Easter long weekend is one of my favourite celebrations of the year. It’s relaxing, laden with sweet treats, and it really is a lovely few days to spend with family and friends. Like the Christmas season, I love having my home decorated for Easter. Whether it be a small vignette on the entrance table or a mantle filled with Bunny inspired goodness, a display is a perfect way to get your friends and family in the Easter spirit.

My white ceramic bunny collection has not made its regular appearance this year; instead, I’ve gone rustic! In line with the ever-changing leaves of Autumn, I have kept my decor simple but in no way minimal, sticking to a country vibe that consists of wooden decor, rattan baskets and greenery from the garden.

As much as I love chocolate, a refreshing take on styling this occasion is to actually omit easter eggs! Starting with a mismatched collection of baskets, vases and my two wooden bunnies from Julian Ronchi. The biggest bunch of Easter Daisy’s I could get my hands on and paired them with bunches of Kale and topiary plants from my garden, which will go straight back out once Easter is over. I really love this casual style. It’s warm and inviting and easy to keep on display for the entire long weekend. It is cheap and cheerful, with big bunches of easter daisy that lasts forever. I continued this throughout my home, starting at my entrance and ending in the vegetable garden that will host a fun little egg hunt for when the Easter Bunny visits!

CREATIVE TREATS!

A cute Cookie Crudite is a fun way for the kids and sweet-toothed adults to have something other than chocolate this Easter. These beautiful vegetable inspired biscuits made by Michelle’s Cookies are to dip into warm chocolate. What a delicious treat to have with a cup of tea this upcoming Easter. Alternatively, you can use them as table place settings for your Easter Sunday lunch, as take-home gifts for your guests or just sweet treats to nibble on throughout the long weekend.

A PATCH MADE FOR HUNTING

A long, lazy breakfast in the veggie garden is fun to celebrate Easter. I can’t go past traditional Hot Cross Buns, and although I have a delicious recipe of my own, I am in love with these ones from NEDS and could think of nothing more satisfying than tucking into one whilst the kids run wild hunting for eggs amongst the cabbage leaves. And with accessories for an easter Hunt like this collection by Meri Meri, the kids are going to love it!
