Are You Travelling These Holidays?

I travel a lot! 

And when you travel a lot, you work out very fast what is worth lugging across the other side of the world and what is not! There is so much to think about when you are heading on holidays - do you have weather-appropriate clothing combinations that work for day and night? What accessories can be utilised in different ways for multiple wears? What shoes you can’t live without when abroad? And how to get your toiletries from one spot to the next safely. So as an avid traveller, I am always on the lookout for the most practical accessory that will help me get to where I need to be comfortably and stylishly.

Hand luggage is one thing I always struggle with, having too much or too little - what if my luggage goes missing? What do I need on my person at all times? For me, it’s a few things - a book, a refillable drink bottle, spare shoes, small lotions for a mid-flight refresh, a basic makeup case, special jewellery, headphones and chargers.

I don’t think I’ve ever been on a holiday or work trip where there hasn’t been a wardrobe malfunction or a misplaced charger so having these kits on hand is a no brainer. They are also great for stuffing the Christmas stockings of your travelling friends and family.

Having everything in a clear bag is perfect; it is precisely what is needed when rummaging through for that special something. Put your liquids in clear reusable bags so it’s easy to remove when going through security, keep your inflight essentials in another so you can grab it, slip your eye mask and headphones on and relax. A beautiful compartment box that stores my jewellery is another must-have. I have learnt throughout many of my trips that earrings, necklaces and accessories love to get tangled when thrown about in cases. A handy, travel-specific zip-up case that holds rings, bracelets and earrings mean you can rest assured of no damage of your collections, slips so easily into your carryon.

So with my essentials on hand, a collection keeps everything in order and itchy feet, I know that I’ll be stepping onto that plane knowing that I have everything I need. How about you?
