I Love A Seasonal Cushion Update!
Cushions are one of the most versatile home accessories that can be easily swapped out depending on the season or your mood. Updating your lounge with new cushions can significantly impact the look and feel of your room, especially as we move through Autumn. I have found myself darkening the tones of the house, burning woodier candles, layering seating with cosy throws and bringing in darker florals to cosy up the space. Old cushions can accumulate dirt and stains over time, making them look worn and dingy, and we certainly don’t want that; how are your cushions looking? Is it time for an update? Swapping out your old summery cushions for new ones can instantly change the feel of your lounge. Choosing cushions with new colours, patterns, and textures to give your space a fresh and modern look whilst staying on budget can be challenging - but not with my new cushion collection from Harris Scarfe.
Feel like you have too many cushions in your home?
Well, we all know that’s not true because one can never have enough! It’s just a matter of how creative you can get with your collections and how you can use them for comfort throughout your home, not just leave them on the bed or couch! Mix and match different patterns and colours: Use cushions with different designs and colours to create a playful and eclectic look. Mix and match prints like stripes, florals, and geometrics for a fun and unique style.
Create a cozy corner: Use a large floor cushion or a few smaller cushions to create a cozy corner in your living room or bedroom. Add a few books, a lamp, and a throw blanket to create a cozy reading nook. This is a fun way to add some personality to your home and an entertaining space to make with kids.
Use cushions made from different materials like velvet, faux fur, and knits to add texture to your space. This is a great way to create a cozy and inviting atmosphere.
Layer cushions of different sizes: Layer cushions of different sizes and shapes create a layered look on your sofa or bed. Start with larger cushions at the back and layer smaller cushions in front.
Add some interest and personality to your space by using cushions to add pops of colour: Use cushions in bold hues to add pops of colour to a neutral room.
